It’s been 6 months of The Cottage and I’m so thankful for you—my readers. There’s a connection here, a community, and it feels good.
My first published post was therapy. I needed this outlet. The experience here is familiar yet fresh. 1
I underestimated the experience I would gain here; it’s true what they say, “the more you write, the better your writing will be.” By establishing a consistent writing schedule, I’m able to challenge myself and expand my entertainment pallet.
I have a goal here for The Cottage, but I want to continue this project as long as it’s fun. There’s enough pressure in everyday life without me adding this to it.
Right now, I’m compiling content for my next newsletter, while watching Suits (Season 1) and reading a mystery novel.

In 2012, I started my first blog on Wordpress. It was my outlet to share my personal whatever: music recommendations, travel photography, and fashion. It was my way of showing the world (and myself) that I had a voice. I smile when I think of my first blog and I still cherish it.
